Bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) : These incredible marine mammals are an amazing sight to see : here incredibly close in the tidal waters at chanonry point near Inverness , Scotland: the huge sea mammals swim close inshore chasing their favourite meal of salmon. The best time to see these magnificent creatures is in July and August when the salmon are running:
The Bottlenose dolphin recognisable as 'Scoopy' (Trailscoop) breaches metres from the beach following the salmon at Chanonry point, Fortrose, Scotland.

Breach ! An incredible sight to see these large mammals leap clear out of the water close in to shore at Chanonry point.
