In winter large numbers of waders especially Knot and Golden plover and Oystercatchers gather on the mudflats at Snettisham RSPB reserve in Norfolk. first are images from a recent (2021) visit to the awe inspiring flocks of waders at Snettisham RSPB; Following these are images from 2014 just before most of the reserve including two key hides were destroyed due to a tidal storm surge . These images were taken from the shoreline from dawn onwards as the flocks of Pink footed geese came inshore the Golden Plover and other waders flew out to the mud banks on the rapidly receding tide.
