Autumn means time for the red deer rut ! From the start of October through to mid November is usually the best time to see these magnificent animals acting out the ritual of the annual rut. The larger stags bellow in the mist, wallow in mud and adorn their antlers with grass and bracken to attract the hinds and deter the other stags. These images are from Richmond park and Exmoor. If you would like to join me for photo tuition days at Richmond Park this autumn and learn how to capture the action, contact me at Gowildlandscapes@Btinternet.com
Also just added some red deer from the highlands in winter taken on our winter wildlife photography trips!
