Cuckoo : Having spent lots and lots of time at my favourite local patch hearing and watching cuckoos calling and in flight I know how tricky they can be to spot, let alone photograph. Following a tip from some of my local photography mates I set off to Surrey with little hope that this spectacular male bird would still be turning up and posing for photographs. Happily and surprisingly he was still around and what a really stunning bird he turned out to be!
