Harvest mice : Micromys minutus

I don't usually post images of captive wildlife, preferring to see and photograph them in the wild. Harvest mice however are almost impossible to find and photograph in the wild and nearly all the images you will see in print are taken in captivity. These are part of the breeding population at the Westcountry Wildlife Photography Centre in Devon where they work to breed these and also water voles for release back in the wild. Also a fantastic place to learn photography skills!
